I love doing character designs but what I struggle with is villains. I don't know why but while doing this I really had a hard time, hoping that they weren't looking cheesy. I wanted them to be realistic in personality and in design. I would think about how would they look in the real world? Would they work or not? These questions helped me to make sure they wrer grounded but fantastical.
Creating these creatures was an up-and-down journey. Sometimes they were easy to make and other times it was like "oh my goodness I want to just forget about this scene but I can't!" Making the names was the same too but in the end, I finally got the names to click. There will be more creature designs in the future but as of right now these are the ones that have already been in the story this far.
